This document details the **Refund Policy** and **Delivery Timeline** for the custom mechanical engineering design, 3D CAD modeling, code calculations, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) services provided by **Lo Technical Consulting (Pty) Ltd** (operating as **LoTechCon**).
1. Delivery Timeline for Engineering Services
Because our work involves precise, technical mechanical designs and third-party code verifications, we operate on a structured, professional delivery cycle:
- Work Initiation: Engineering work officially commences only upon receipt of a client order (PO), the cleared agreed-upon deposit payment (which will depend on the project and will be agreed upon during the quotation phase), and all required design specifications, drawings, load details, and dimensions.
- Turnaround & Schedules: The actual delivery timeline is project-dependent and will be detailed in the project quotation. The standard duration of work for typical calculations, drawing reviews, and FEA verifications is generally **10 to 15 working days** from the date that all initiation conditions (including deposit clearance) are satisfied.
- Complex Projects: Larger design packages (such as complete vessel configurations or structural chassis conversions) are executed according to a custom timeline divided into milestone deliverables. These schedules are agreed upon in writing inside the respective project proposal.
- Delivery Method: All final deliverables—including 3D CAD files (.STEP format), fabrication-ready 2D technical drawings, ASME/EN calculation report sheets, and FEA stress plot reports—are delivered **electronically**. We distribute files via secure email or through collaborative cloud folders (such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox) according to client preferences.
- Delays: Any delays in the provision of critical specifications or design changes requested by the Client will extend the final delivery timeline accordingly.
2. Refund Policy
As a provider of professional consulting and custom design engineering services, our policy regarding refunds and cancellation is governed by the following conditions:
- Nature of Services: Because all deliverables are custom digital engineering works prepared for specific industrial layouts and standard compliance codes, we do not sell pre-manufactured goods. Completed engineering hours and custom deliverables are non-refundable.
- Corrective Services (Primary Remedy): We warrant to deliver engineering services at an acceptable professional standard. In the event of errors, omissions, or compliance issues attributable to LoTechCon, our liability is strictly limited to the provision of **free corrective services** to rectify the deliverables.
- Cancellation Policy:
- If the Client cancels a project before work has commenced, the deposit is strictly non-refundable and will be retained in full by LoTechCon to cover resource scheduling, project setup, and administrative overhead.
- If the Client cancels a project after work has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable. The Client will be billed for the actual engineering man-hours completed up to the date of formal cancellation, less the deposit already paid.
- Project Stalling and Abandonment: Engineering scheduling requires strict capacity management. If a client project is delayed or paused by the Client for a continuous period exceeding forty-five (45) calendar days due to a failure to deliver requested technical data sheets, geometry specifications, or design input confirmations, LoTechCon reserves the right to terminate the project agreement. In such instances, any deposit paid is retained in full to offset resource allocation losses, and the project file will be officially archived. Re-initiating an abandoned project will require a completely new assessment and quotation under current pricing structures.
- Dispute Resolution: If a client is dissatisfied with a project deliverable, they must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery. We will review the feedback and make the necessary revisions to meet the professional design standards.
